Which Part Of The Constitution Should We Tear Up?

Here is the place to discuss - or rant - about cultural and political things. Love or hate a politician or party? Opinions about public policy issues and things the government does (or does not)? Put it here.

Which Part Of The Constitution Should We Tear Up?

Post by tim »

Just had an email saying "Rand Paul Says It's The End Of The Second Amendment!" And "Dianne Feinstein Wants Your Guns And She Is Willing To Tear Up The Constitution To Get Them. Who cares that the Second Amendment to the Constitution gives you the right to keep and bear arms? Not Dianne Feinstein." But what about HR 592 - just passed this last week - that gives taxpayers' money to churches to repair/rebuild due to Hurrican Sandy? One of the FIRST things the Founders did was to stop tax dollars from going to churches. A huge step back. HR 592 was supported by both Dems and Republicans in the House. I guess we will see how Rand Paul votes in the Senate on this. Meanwhile, I looked up to see if the lone atheist in Congress, Pete Stark, had voted against it and learned that he is not in the Congress anymore ... But his sucessor, Democrat Eric Swalwell, voted for it.
